ITBusiness.ca parent company ITWC is proud to reveal its newest publication: Municipal Interface, the official magazine of MISA (Municipal Information Systems Association)/ASIM Canada.
Though aimed at the many IT workers who toil behind the scenes to keep Canada’s municipalities running smoothly, Municipal Interface also has plenty to offer the numerous companies who regularly conduct business with cities, or executives interested in digital transformation: features exclusive to this issue include a history of Montreal’s digital transformation, a guide to how SouthWestern Integrated Fibre Technology (SWIFT) is connecting rural communities through broadband, and a feature by yours truly interviewing four winners of MISA Ontario’s 2017 Excellence in Municipal Systems award.
As mentioned by contributor Roy Wiseman, former CIO of the southern Ontario Region of Peel, Municipal Interface is hardly a new publication: in assuming its mantle, we’re drawing from a 20-plus year history, one we plan to honour as we help cities across Canada navigate this brave new online world.
“I am personally delighted to now be working with ITWC,” Wiseman writes. “Like the rest of the world, ITWC has transitioned from being focused primarily on print media to now relying almost entirely on digital services.”
“The resources of ITWC should enable us to provide a much richer set of digital information, both in our quarterly Municipal Interface publication and also between these scheduled editions,” he continues.
We look forward to delivering on that lofty promise.
