Nexsan brings CAS functionality to businesses
Nexsan Technologies announced its Assureon NX Easy Archive Appliance, a disk-based solution for the storage of business-critical information for smaller enterprises, branch offices and departmental groups.
Assureon NX relies on Content Addressable Storage (CAS) technology to protect data integrity and perform file-level de-duplication. Assureon NX’s secure storage architecture ensures the integrity of all archived content through automated integrity checks with self healing functions. It includes other features such as built-in Lifecycle Management functions, immutable file authentication and remote replication across the WAN for disaster recovery purposes. Data availability is assured with RAID 6 protection while WORM disk functionality prevents overwriting of archived files.
Assureon NX is available in standalone or replicated versions and offers a plug-and-play NAS-like interface supporting both CIFS and NFS for simple connectivity to any operating system. Assureon NX can be deployed as an alternative to tape and other offline media, or as a disk-based enhancement to offline archives.
The Assureon NX Archive Appliance is available through Nexsan’s worldwide channel of resellers. Pricing starts at US$53,000.
Sisulizer localizes online help files in HTML help format
Sisulizer has released a feature in their software localization tool – Localization of Online Help files in HTML Help format.
Sisulizer imports translatable content from a compiled HTML Help file (.chm). Text is automatically segmented into sentences for translation. You translate the text either in WYSIWYG mode, or in a grid with separate columns for context, source and target language. If you update the help file, just use Sisulizer’s rescan feature.
Sisulizer can now localize your software, online help, XML files and database content. Using Sisulizer, you can enter translations for every language.
