CDW takes top honours at first-ever virtual Top 100 Solution Providers Gala

TORONTO (April 30, 2020) –  CDW Canada, a leading provider of technology solutions for business, government, education, and healthcare, was recognized today for capturing the No. 1 spot on CDN’s annual Top 100 Solution Provider ranking.

The Etobicoke, Ontario-based company is no stranger to the top spot. It has placed first or second in the rankings for the past decade. The complete Top 100 ranking, based on 2019 revenue, was released during the first-ever virtual Top 100 Solution Providers gala. VIEW RANKING

The 2020 gala was hosted on CDN-TV, a special platform developed by ITWC that allowed more than 350 attendees to not only watch live and prerecorded gala segments, but also download assets, watch videos, and meet with peers and event sponsors in virtual meeting rooms.

“We are proud to showcase the next generation of virtual events with our  Top 100 celebration,” said ITWC CIO Jim Love.

Although parts of the channel are struggling with the impacts of the COVID-19 shutdown, a CDN/IDC Canada analysis of the 2019 data used for the rankings, shows the revenue of the top 100 companies topped the $10 billion mark for the first time. A 2020 Benchmark featuring a detailed analysis of the top 100 corporate submissions is now available on ChannelDailyNews.com.

The number 2 ranking went to Softhoice, last year’s top-ranked provider. The third spot this year went to Insight Canada, a newcomer to the top tiers of the rankings. It was ranked No.7 last year but pushed to the top on the strength of its acquisition of PCM Inc. Fourth and fifth spots were claimed by Compugen and Compucom, respectively, both of whom have been prominent on the Top 100 list for years.

“This was a great opportunity for all of us to celebrate the stars of our channel as we always do,” said ITWC President and CEO Fawn Annan. “Many parts of the world remain under lockdown, but that didn’t stop us from celebrating.”  She noted the event ended on Twitter nationally with a potential social media reach exceeding 350,000.

Several other companies were recognized during the gala:

Newcomer of the Year award: Benchmark Corp.
Fastest Riser award: (tie) SoftwareONE Canada, ProServeIT
Customer Sucess Award: Annex Consulting Group
Ingram Micro’s Vendor Value Award: Cisco

Detailed coverage of the event can be found over the coming days on the Top 100 Solution Provider website.
