TribeHR has added new Facebook and LinkedIn features to its social HR platform.

The Waterloo, Ont.-based startup makes a social media platform that canbe used for various HR functions, including recruiting, applicationintake, employee engagement, time off tracking, salary history andperformance management. As noted in our source article from VentureBeat, thenew features go beyond keeping TribeHR’s platform social in an internalway (ie, only within the company using it) because they connectemployees and employers with widely external social networks Facebookand LinkedIn.

Now job postings using TribeHR’s platform feature an “apply withLinkedIn” button so people can click on it to signal their interest inthat job. The platform automatically generates an applicant profile forthat person based on their LinkedIn profile.

New Facebook integration lets HR managers automatically update theircompany’s Facebook page with job postings, and allows candidates toapply for those jobs through Facebook. There are also new feedbackcapabilities: workers can applaud colleagues on Facebook to recognizewhen they’ve done a good job, and that feedback can be added to theirFacebook timeline.

The new features will be added to the TribeHR platform starting thismonth.

TribeHR recently raised $2.5 million in financingand was named one ofCanada’s 50 most engaged workplaces.
