Lack of acknowledgement is, to my mind anyway, a sickness in today’s society. The toughest person needs validation to advance/evolve, yet so often
a simple thank-you is hard to come by! Eye contact, touch and compliments are also rare events as is formal greeting and leave-taking. People arrive at work, meetings or functions, start their business, take what they came for and abruptly leave. Strange!

I am amazed when I read stories like this. I find it astonishing that a normal person could think that registering these names then using them in this manner was “”the right thing to do,”” and go ahead with it. I guess it shows us how a situation like Enron or WorldCom could “”reasonably”” happen, but it sure does make me feel uneasy that there are so many instances like this one.

How did this looneytoon get these domains in the first place? Someone was definitely asleep at the switch, as a .ca name has to be named according to the company name. When I applied for my domain I had to chose a name that was either part of my own name or my company name. In my case it was both. As a .on.ca, I had to be doing business in Ontario under that name. Have the rules changed, or is it like so many other laws in Canada that exist only for the convenience of the lawmakers and legal system, to be used at their “”discretion””?

I enjoyed your article very much, it points out an interesting issue with the Internet. Unfortunately it is people like this who undermine the true value of this tool. It is obvious that this man’s intent is to defraud the taxpayer. Why else would someone make use of false and misleading advertising to promote his own specific agenda?
It is also obvious that his agenda is lacking in both credibility and support. If it had any support then there would be no need to mislead the public. It appears he is not willing to justify his actions in a court of law because of financial reasons. Yet this same individual would have the taxpayer spend countless thousands of dollars. It is no wonder our health care system is under siege and our government services are being cut.
Why is the government stopping at just obtaining the names? Why are we not sending him the bill for all the taxpayer dollars spent on this idiot? Only when a clear message is sent will people stop abusing this medium of knowledge and information.
