HP is taking advantage of all the attention on Mobile Word Congress this week in Barcelona. It’s expanding its line of business tablets with two new devices.
First, the HP ProPad 600.
HP has long divided its laptops into EliteBook and ProBook categories. The former targets enterprise and the latter SMB. Now its doing the same with tablets.
This tablet runs Windows 8.1. It has a sharp 1920 by 1200 resolution display and up to 64 gigabytes of onboard storage.
HP is also launching a tablet for retailers. It a lot like the ProPad, but it offers extra ports so merchants can use it as a point of sales device.
HP says the ProPad will launch in mid-March for $739 US. The HP TX1 will be available in May.
