EDGE eyes security issues

The April issue of EDGE will take a critical look at the multi-faceted topic of security. For most organizations, the threat is greater than ever and can come in many forms — viruses, worms, phishing, identity theft, denial of service, hacking. The consequences can be dire, an entire corporate network

can be shut down in a matter of minutes.

As a result, security is a topic that must be addressed at the executive level, not just by a manager or director in IT. Yet as a recent study shows frontline staff and corporate management have very different perceptions of how secure their systems really are. EDGE magazine will explore why this gap exists and how organizations can come to better terms with the security issue.
