Infographic: Who wins the most Canadian government ICT funding?

Canada has many government programs designed to pump funding into the information and communications technology (ICT) sector. Between the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Canadian Foundation for Innovation (CFI) alone, there are hundreds of millions of dollars each year that get funneled to research projects.

But where does all that money go? Well, a huge chunk goes to the Toronto region – in fact, about one-third of federal government funding gets absorbed by the Golden Horseshoe region, and the top two universities to win funding are the University of Toronto and the University of Waterloo. Check out how all the funding breaks down in our infographic below, the last in our three part series. Then check out our other infographics, Toronto Region’s ICT Cluster, and ICT in Canada.
