It’s time for our weekly roundup of the people we’re following on Twitter and that we think you should follow too.
This week I’d like to take the opportunity to recognize some of the voices that we see turning up to our Twitter chats on a month to month basis. Our Twitter chats typically happen on the last Thursday of every month at 1 PM ET and cover a wide range of topics of interest to the technology community – yesterday’s chat was the Internet of things, the previous month’s was about privacy (complete with Ontario’s outgoing privacy commissioner), and May’s was about women in technology. So it’s not everyone that has the propensity to join in and discuss all these varied issues, but the talented tweeters I’m featuring here have come out to at least a couple chats.
We always give full credit to our guest experts that really help drive these chats and do the tough work of answering all the questions raised during a busy hour of tweeting. But today we’re recognizing those who come out to the chats and participate just because they like doing it!

Wallis has a research portfolio that covers energy, retail and wholesale, manufacturing, government, financial services, and healthcare as well as custom projects and consulting. So it’s no wonder he has been able to contribute to a couple of Twitter chats on varied topics. His interests outside tech also seem to be varied, with his Twitter stream full of references to amateur sports and Canada’s performance at the ongoing Commonwealth Games. Wallis joined our Twitter chat on the Internet of Things yesterday and helped provide some insights on the security risks around connected devices, and delivered a crystal clear definition of the topic that IDC has created when it was brought up during the chat.

Mah must have a busy life leading up Canada’s operations for this hardware giant. In that time she’s championed relationships with small businesses and has put together a small business advisory board for Intel, and she’s often a featured speaker at technology conferences, and she’s a contributor to Huffington Post Canada. We’ve featured Elaine in this column before because she’s just that good to follow, but we had to give her credit for all the Twitter chats she has joined with us over the past several months – perhaps more than anyone!
