AccentSoft recovers lost or forgetten passwords
AccentSoft Team announces the immediate availability of the updated versions of their series of products that recover lost or forgotten ‘open file’ passwords to Microsoft Office documents. The updated programs include Accent OFFICE Password Recovery, Accent WORD Password Recovery and Accent EXCEL Password Recovery.
In case of the force attack, the recovery program, for example Accent OFFICE Password Recovery, will throw possible combination of letters, numbers and other characters at a file. The program will do its job while being unattended, or while you’ll be working with some other application.
Another recovery method used by Accent software is a dictionary-based attack, which utilizes large files of commonly used words and names. The software can search several dictionaries one by one for the password, transforming passwords and adding digits to them.
AccentSoft software runs under Windows 95 and higher. Accent OFFICE Password Recovery costs US$50 for home users and US$66.45 for business users. Exor Announces Atlas general release
Exor Corp. announced the general release of its Atlas software.
Atlas software will provide a single Web and map-based information platform accessible to relevant staff and contractors. In time the Atlas software will be integrated with existing systems, including SAP financial and other customer relationship management systems.
The Atlas solution has been built to comply with Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) principles which results in asset models coming with a set of API interfaces, these are deployed as Web services which allow third party tools, or middleware, to create, update and close Exor assets.
Flash Networks launches Harmony Internet platform and services
Flash Networks announced the launch of its Harmony mobile Internet platform and services.
Harmony is tailored to specific operator requirements with a variety of “plug-in” services:
- Mobile Internet acceleration
- Content and video adaptation providing users the freedom to browse rich and diverse Internet-based content using their mobile phone
- Portal Booster providing immediate downloads of content from operator-branded portals based on a predictive-browsing algorithm

Synchronica adds automatic mobile provisioning to Mobile Gateway 3.0
Synchronica plc announced the addition of a client provisioning module to Mobile Gateway 3.0 (formerly SyncML Gateway) push e-mail and synchronization solution.
Using OMA CP (Open Mobile Alliance Client Provisioning), Synchronica’s client provisioning module provides over-the-air configuration of synchronization (SyncML / OMA DS) and e-mail clients (IMAP / SMTP), removing the need for manual device configuration. Users simply select their country, operator, phone maker and model from a menu in the Mobile Gateway portal and receive a configuration message on their phone, automatically configuring the device for push e-mail and synchronization.
Synchronica’s Mobile Gateway provides carrier-grade push e-mail and synchronization services for the market. Mobile Gateway also includes back-end support for e-mail services such as MSN or Yahoo and provides a zero-footprint architecture where users simply register their devices with the hosted Mobile Gateway and instantly receive e-mail on their devices, with no connectors required behind the firewall.
Mobile Gateway 3.0 combines Push IMAP and LEMONADE for mobile e-mail with SyncML / OMA DS for synchronization of calendar, contacts and tasks without requiring additional client software on the device.
Mobile Gateway provides carrier-grade scalability with load balancing and failover and runs on any J2EE application server using Solaris, Linux or Windows servers. It currently provides back-end support for Sun JES and Microsoft Exchange and is scheduled to include support for Lotus Domino later in the year.
TenXc announces DCS Bi-Sector Array
TenXc Wireless Inc. announced the availability of its DCS Bi-Sector Array, a spectral capacity enhancement solution in the 1,800 MHz band for GSM, EDGE and UMTS network growth. The DCS Bi-Sector Array provides additional service capacity using existing cell site infrastructure to install additional sites or source spectrum.
The Bi-Sector Array can be applied in targeted “hot spot” sectors and network areas to support current service growth or facilitate spectrum re-farming for EDGE and UMTS overlay deployments.
The Bi-Sector Array’s asymmetric patterns and single dual-sector panel addresses key performance, network design and implementation issues. In operator network deployments, the Bi-Sector Array has demonstrated a doubling of capacity for both voice and data services.
TenXc’s DCS Bi-Sector Array can be used to upgrade existing sites without re-engineering surrounding sites, as well as in greenfield capacity site deployments. It serves as a direct antenna substitution at the cell site and makes use of standard base station features and existing cables while relieving “tower clutter”.
