Vancouver-based IT management and consulting firms DTM Systems Corp. and Knowledgetech Consulting Inc. have announced they’re going to merge.
While the new company does not have a name yet, the two firms signed a non-binding letter of intent on June 3, indicating they’re going to keep their current combined staff of about 150 as well as hire new employees in Vancouver. They aim to use this merger to reach new market opportunities as well as build on each other’s investments in R&D.
DTM was founded more than 35 years ago and provides IT consulting, accounting and human resources services, as well as support for customer relationship management (CRM) software. More recently, it branched out into providing cloud technology, disaster recovery services and virtualization to its clients.
Knowledgetech, which has been working in the IT management and consulting space for nearly 20 years, specializes in Microsoft services like Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint. It works with organizations in financial services, healthcare, natural resources, utilities, logistics, and retail.
“With our combined resources … we can deliver a unique set of end-to-end services and solutions—from business strategy, CRM and SharePoint to ERP and advanced infrastructure—that we believe will be unmatched by anyone in the market,” said Paul Martin, president of DTM Systems, in a press release.
