EMC offers ControlCenter SAN Advisor 5.3
EMC Corp. announced the availability of EMC ControlCenter SAN Advisor 5.3, a SAN validation and design tool featuring support for SAN configurations and flexibility in applying SAN best practices.
SAN Advisor resource management software allows customers to ensure compliance with best practices for SAN design, implementation and maintenance. It lets storage administrators validate the existing SAN environment for best practice compliance, model fixes or changes to the SAN in a secure environment, produce an implementation checklist and verify the fixes or changes are implemented correctly.
This updated release features extended zone configuration support, which enables users to validate and simulate changes to existing zones, model new zones and specify zoning policies in a SAN design.
Starting at US$5,000, SAN Advisor 5.3 is based on capacity pricing and is available immediately through EMC and participating EMC Velocity channel partners.
Business Objects announces BusinessObjects Data Quality XI
Business Objects released details surrounding the launch of BusinessObjects Data Quality XI, a suite of data quality products, which includes features that help organizations standardize on one data quality platform, scale their data quality deployment to meet growing business needs and simplify data quality tools.
Data Quality XI makes standardization easier with features including a centralized business rule repository that lets customers create business rules, which can be applied across the company, which results in more reliable data quality. Also part of the package is a service oriented architecture, which enables different departments across the organization to access and share the business rules repository.
Data Quality XI provides customers with a scalable data quality platform that can be extended as their business grows. The new solution helps organizations resolve challenges like ensuring data quality within and across multiple enterprise applications, regulatory compliance programs, and international growth.
BusinessObjects Data Quality XI is currently expected to available in the third quarter of 2006.
Angelic Software has released Info Angel 3.3.
Angelic Software’s Info Angel integrates schedule, contacts and reminders into one application.
The Info Angel suite includes a calendar organizer which will generate reminders, a contact book which compiles names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses and birthdays and allows for photos for matching faces with names, a notebook for managing text-based information like notes and directions, complete with editing functions, photos and tables and a built-in Web browser within a bookmark manager, which synchronizes Favorites with Internet Explorer.
With this release, Info Angel’s interface has been redesigned for greater usability.
Info Angel is available as shareware and registration costs US$29.95. A Microsoft Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003 operating system is required.
