Fluke safeguards network from internal threats
Fluke Networks Canada announced several capabilities for its OptiView Integrated Network Analyzer.
The OptiView Series III supports IT Initiatives through several capabilities. In addition to Free String Match filters and triggers, OptiView Series III offers 802.1x authentication, gigabit line rate traffic generation and Internetwork Throughput testing, encapsulation independent protocol filtering, application level traffic analysis and application layer bounce charts for application performance visualization.
OptiView Series III Integrated Network Analyzer can identify and match any set of words or phrases in network traffic, regardless of the position in the packet, for full line rate filtering on gigabit links. Free String Match can also identify and track applications that are not allowed on the network.
Additional feature of the OptiView Series III Integrated Network Analyzer is real-time application analysis on Gigabit links. Users can determine the specific endpoints (server, host) using each application and perform layer 3 or layer 2 trace routes to identify the switch or router interface to which the endpoint is connected for each application.
The OptiView Series III Integrated Network Analyzer offers unparalleled insight into the network. A number of options are available, including:

Codeorigin introduces secure shell server
Codeorigin, LLC announced the release of Sysax Multi Server 4, a SSH2 based secure shell server program for the Windows operating system. In addition to SFTP and shell access, Sysax Multi Server supports simultaneous account access through SSL/TLS based FTPS and other widespread Internet protocols such as FTP and Telnet.
Sysax Multi Server lets system administrators authenticate users using either existing Windows user accounts or by creating custom accounts. The program runs as an NT service and is easy to administer and configure using the accompanying administration panel or by using the Windows management console. SSH2 based public key authentication and SSL certificate generation are also supported. Client connection sessions can be logged and the log files can be automatically rolled over to conserve disk space. The product can also be combined with Sysax FTP Automation to provide a file transfer solution.
System requirements
Sysax Multi Server will run under Windows 95/98/NT/Me/XP/2003 and Windows Vista. It requires four megabytes of disk space and 64 megabytes of RAM.
