We’ve seen technology companies try to disrupt wedding invitations, wedding photos, wedding registries, and even divorce – and now bespoke men’s online fashion company Indochino is taking aim at helping grooms and groomsmen suit up for the big day too.
Vancouver-based Indochino has launched Wedding Planner, the world’s first e-commerce group ordering management tool for creating, customizing and tracking the outfits of the groom and groomsmen. The basic premise of Indochino’s business is that they make custom tailored suits overseas based on measurements taken at one of the their showrooms or using measurements taken at home.
To ensure the outfits fit the style of the occasion, Wedding Planner lets the groom pre-select suit fabrics, identify customization choices and set payment options for each member of his wedding party. Each member can log into the dashboard to individually enter their measurements, select custom options and initiate their individual orders. The dashboard also lets everyone see the status of each order so they know when it will arrive.
With the launch of Wedding Planner, Indochino is offering a free suit to up to 25,000 grooms who outfit their wedding party of four or more groomsmen in Indochino.
