Innovate Calgary and Canadian National Stock Exchange team to help startups

Innovate Calgary and Alberta Deal Generator (ADG) have formed a strategic partnership with the Canadian National Stock Exchange (CNSX) to encourage the development of technology-focused startups. It’s the first joint venture CNSX has done with a technology transfer office.

“CNSX is an innovative stock exchange with a focus on technology companies and the capital markets that support them. This partnership marks the natural evolution for CNSX as each party is strategically aligned to improve the financial environment for technology and industrial innovation companies,” said Richard Carleton, CEO of CNS, in a statement.

Technology entrepreneurs and investors will be able to leverage all three organizations, and there will be more options for technology company investment and exit strategies.

According to ADG, the agreement will bring on more angel investors that want to add tech deals to their portfolio, and who understand how CNSX can provide another road to liquidity.
