Nominee: Insite Computer Group from Markham, Ontario
Describe the solution or service you provide.
We provided new Core Access Switch Infrastructure multi-floor requirement for secure high-tech services that  allowed our staff members at the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario to access all current products such as their fax solution, booking application and all other corporate application while maintaining a separate and secure access to all other data.  We also installed new VoIP solution mapping their current PBX, new secure wireless infrastructure and a managed UPS that will allow their phones and servers to stay up for 2 hours the generator was strictly to be used for emergency lighting. Insite designed and implemented the components required to meet both timeline and customer requirements using Cisco solutions. ETFO was moving to a new building and everything had to be up and running and operational on the same day of the scheduled move.
What made your service of the highest quality? Provide measurable evidence of how you benefitted the customer’s business.
It was crucial for everything to be in place and switched over on the day of the move.
Insite was able to coordinate their engineers with a variety of third party providers to ensure everything came together. Infrastructure security is now far superior to what was in place in the prior infrastructure. There was no wireless capability in the previous building and one was installed to allow secure access to data as well as secure guest access.
The new phone system has many more features and efficiencies to ensure calls are processed and attended to in a much quicker manner.Faster and more efficient network, better phone system and a greater up time guarantee all equate to increased productivity and decrease lost time which ultimately reduces cost.
Describe how services were delivered in a timely fashion, or how the response to a crisis was above and beyond the usual.
All services were delivered ahead of schedule and under budget, regular meetings with all parties were conducted weekly and as needed to ensure everyone was on track. As the move date was approaching meeting were held closer together.
The client had an issue with their VMware implementation partner and asked Insite to step in and complete that component of the project which was not originally discussed with Insite. Insite was able to take it on and complete it on time and within budget.
How does your service surpass competitors in meeting the needs of customers?
Regular meeting with all parties were conducted weekly and as needed to ensure everyone was on track. As the move date was approaching meeting were held closer together.
Design and implementation checks were conducted regularly with the client to ensure everything meets the client requirements and the customer had access to Insite 24/7 during the entire project timeline. The customer was impressed with Insites abilities and had asked Insite to step in to a VmWare project after their original provider failed.
Insite was able to take on the project from where the previous provider had left off and completed it on time and within the original budget.
How does the solution further your customer’s green or environmentally friendly plans?
The entire building is green and Insite had to meet the guidelines that were presented. Although not part of the original project Insite was given ETFO’s VMware project, VMware and consolidation does fall in to the green category.
