Two Toronto-area Internet firms announced a deal earlier this week that will see a Web-based customer relationships management (CRM) suite added to widely-used Internet marketing tools for small to medium-sized businesses.
Concord, Ont.-based BlueCamroo Inc. and Mississauga, Ont.-based Global Internet consulting shook hands on an agreement July 30. It will see BlueCamroo’s CRM software added to the WSI network of consultants, of which there are 1,100 franchise offices in 80 countries.
BlueCamroo’s software offers a central Web location to store customer data. It connects with social networks to collect more information on contacts and find new leads. It also offers project management, team collaboration, business automation, expense tracking, and e-mail marketing campaigns features. Targeted at SMBs, BlueCamroo was founded in 2008.
WSI was founded in 1995 and operates a franchise of consultants that advise businesses on how to improve their Web sites. It offers services such as Web site design, search engine optimizations, social media optimization, mobile marketing, and e-mail marketing.
Also in the works is a plan for WSI consultants to become authorized BlueCamroo Configuration Partners, allowing them to re-sell the CRM tool and provide support to local businesses that buy it.
