Vancouver-based rubbish-removal company 1-800-Got-Junk? recently launched a mobile Web site to enabled smartphone users to book junk removal with their phones and other portable devices.
Smartphone and tablet users will be automatically directed to the mobile Web site when they navigate to 1800-Got-Junk.com.
From every page, they can contact the company call center with a single push of a button or book a job in four simplified steps.

“The launch of our mobile website offers another channel to better communicate with our customers and accomplishes our goal of enabling customers to easily book jobs using the device of their choice,” said Jennifer Young, vice president, marketing for the company.
She said launching the site specifically optimized for mobile access was critical because 1-800-Got-Junk? found that its Web traffic from mobile users doubled last year. “The goal of the mobile site is to provide 1-800-Got-Junk? customers with an interface that quickly leads them to the information they need.”
The new mobile site is part of the company’s comprehensive digital strategy to improve customer experience. Phase two of this strategy includes:
- -Simplified booking of multiple or recurring jobs for commercial and residential customers
- -The ability for customers to photograph their pile of junk for upload during the booking process
- -Location-specific activities and SMS booking confirmations and reminders
- -New technology adapted to the type of smartphone being used, such as “tap to text”
