As Best Buys continues to establish its Canadian presence by opening retail outlets in southern Ontario, they have confirmed an agreement to offer a line of LCD monitors from NEC-Mitsubishi.
The line up includes the 18.1, 15, and 17-inch DiamondPoint LCD flat panel and CRT monitors. These monitors
will be features in more than 500 Best Buy stores across North America.
According to Al Giazzon, vice president of marketing for NEC-Mitsubishi, the Best Buy partnership will provide the brand with greater penetration into the consumer market, which is a growing segment in North America.
The monitors are expected to be available this fall and will carry an estimated U.S. street price starting at $179 for the CRT 17-inch model, while the 18.1-inch LCD monitor will be priced at $749.</
