Open Text preps updates content management system
Open Text Corp. announced Livelink ECM 10, the next major release of its enterprise content management offering.
Some Livelink ECM 10 features are available immediately, with the rest being rolled out in 2007. These include Enterprise Library Services, which are designed to provide the ability to manage the metadata and lifecycle of content stored in enterprise applications from vendors such as Microsoft, SAP and Oracle, as well as business content stored in Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003, e-mail, file systems, and other repositories. Livelink ECM also allows users to access business content in ERP systems, such as customer information or purchase order documents, from their familiar Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 interface.
Livelink ECM 10 will provide published Web Services APIs for Enterprise Library Services and Livelink Content Services, allowing customers and partners to integrate Livelink ECM 10 capabilities with enterprise applications, customize the use experience, and enable organizations to build content-centric applications that leverage business content to its full potential.
Login refiller designed to save time
Sticky Password remembers and automatically fills login and password fields for any computer program, including the popular Web browsers Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Its intelligent features save time when accessing passwords, and protect users against phishing and password theft, the company said.
Sticky Password provides a way to access stored passwords immediately, without remembering the account name or searching in a passwords list. Sticky Password adds a special button to any window or Web page on which users had previously saved a password. This allows the user to manage multiple accounts directly from the window that requires them.
All passwords are stored in the encrypted database. The user can use the master password, or any USB or Bluetooth device, to lock and unlock the database. For example, Sticky Password can be configured to unlock the database when your Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone appears in range (five to 10 metres). The cost of purchasing the software is US$24.95.
Anonymizer conceals Web browsing habits

NetConceal Anonymizer lets users choose the country to which that intermediary proxy server should belong. NetConceal Anonymizer runs under Windows NT4.0/2000/2003/XP and costs US$24.95 for Standard version and US$49.90 for Pro version, which offers faster proxies and premium support service. Registered customers are entitled to free updates and lifetime technical support.
