RIM launches BlackBerry 10 OS and Z10

After many months of waiting and delays, today was finally the day. At a live event in New York and with satellite events around the world, Research in Motion today launched its new OS, BlackBerry 10, and the first handset that will run it, the BlackBerry Z10.

The IT World Canada editorial team was covering the event live, and we’ll have in-depth coverage throughout the day. But here’s a Storify of the Twitter coverage of the live event by our editorial team, and selected tweets from friends of IT World Canada.

What did you think of the event? Did it meet your expectations? Will it be enough to turn the company formerly known as RIM (they’re rebranding to BlackBerry) around? Let us know in the comments.
