It’s time for six Jolt startups to strut their stuff.
They’ll be pitching at the first ever demo dayheld Tuesday by Jolt, the accelerator for early stage Web and mobilefirms at Toronto’s MaRS Discovery District, as noted in our sourcestory from CDMN.
The demo day is the culmination of 16 weeks of the Jolt program, whichincludes seed capital of $30,000 per company, work space in MaRS,workshops and mentoring. Jolt is a new accelerator which accepts twocohorts per year with up to eight startups in each cohort.

eProf: Alive social platform that brings teachers and studentstogether in an educational community via interactive virtualclassrooms. For teachers specificially, it’s also a way to consolidateteaching materials.
Greengage Mobile: Amobile software platform that encouragesenvironmental sustainability. Its green smartphone app is both amotivator tool for staff and an employee management system forcompanies. Workers learn how to be “green” and get rewards forcompleted actions using the interactive, social, gamified app.

ShelfLife:A social network for fans of collectibles where they can buy, sell andcollect the stuff they’re crazy about. Keeps apermanent record of every collectible ever made which alsoautomatically matches buyers and sellers. Generates revenue throughsales, commissions, and gamification.
SlingRide:A social site for posting and offering rides. Users can alsopost reviews of drivers, book rides and coordinate pickup and drop offoptions. Includes online payment options and advanced mapping androuting technology.
Tout.it: Asocial media portal for sports fanatics that features a realtime information stream similar to Twitter.
Venngage: Ananalytics firm that aims to take the pain out of onlinereporting and data crunching.
