Two University of Toronto computer engineering students hope other universities throughout North America will adopt social academic network and talent management platform they developed.

Social media talent management

CoursePeer (http://www.coursepeer.com), which is currently being used by several U of T departments, was created by Hadi Aladdin and Marwan Aladdin.  The social media-based tool allows students to connect, share knowledge, get help and help others, as well as get job opportunities delivered to them based on their activities.

“CoursePeer intelligently measures students’ behaviours and activities and with a student’s permission, matches them with any available job opportunities,” said Hadi. CoursePeer also  enables employers to post job positions, as well as start receiving smart suggestions for suitable candidates.
