Toronto’s startup aficionados have just about eight weeks to stock up on pizza and caffeinated drinks, plot out some bright ideas, and get their applications into Startup Weekend Toronto.
It’s official: this year’s event is set for Nov. 9 to 11 at thehistoric Burroughes Building downtown. The structure was constructedfor F.C. Burroughes Furniture Co. in 1907 and will now host localstartups under construction in about two months from now during the54-hour event. This year’s edition is timed to be a kickoff for GlobalEntrepreneurship Week from Nov. 12 to 18.

According to a past blog posting by StartupWeekend Toronto organizerChris Eben, last year’s event was the second largest Startup Weekendevent worldwide with 186 startup participants, 113 guest speakers,judges, mentors and coaches, 19 teams and 70 idea pitches.
It costs $99 to enter (and note that you must buy a ticket toofficially register) but that includes all food, drinks (so maybethere’s no need to stockpile all that Jolt cola and pizza after all)and event swag.
