Michael O’Connor Clarke said he was laid off through a strategic realignment and its seeking new opportunities either in Toronto, the UK or Ireland. O’Connor Clarke said he brought eleven new clients to the firm within the past 18 months, including AOL Canada
and H&R Block. He had previously ran the technology practice at Cohn & Wolfe.
Fujitsu Canada
Colin Cook left Neale-May & Partners last month after three years to join SparkPR in San Francisco, Calif. Cook had been responsible for helping Fujitsu market itself in Canada. This is not to be confused with Fujitsu Consulting (formerly DMR), which continues to be represented by Toronto-based G2M. A replacement for Cook has not been named.
Hill & Knowlton
Marianne Beattie left Ketchum and has started as a consultant in Hill & Knowlton’s Technology practice. She will be working with Motorola (cell phones) and Hewlett-Packard’s Imaging and Printing Group (IPG): digital cameras, scanners and photo printers.

Tracy Levy recently left Environics Communications and is now working in Ketchum’s consumer and technology practice on the IBM account, among others.
Cohn & Wolfe
Robert Manne, who used to work on the Intel of Canada account, left to work at Eldeman Public Relations. He will be working on Samsung Electronics Canada, among others. Tom Giantsopoulos, who recently left Benchmark Porter-Novelli, is now helping on the Intel account at C&W.

Shelly Sofer has joined the firm as director of public relations. He recently left a similar position at Yo Inc.
Canon Canada Inc.
Rowena Calpito recently joined the firm as Public Relations/Media Relations Coordinator, Corporate Communications. Calpito was most recently with Fleishman-Hillard, where she worked on the J.D. Edwards and iAnywhere Solutions accounts.
