Bernard D&G releases PowerPoint compression tool
Bernard D&G has released PPTminimizer, a Windows utility that reduces the size of PowerPoint files. The optimized files are kept in the PowerPoint file format and can be used by any program that uses PowerPoint files, without the need for decompression. PowerPoint is not required when optimizing files. The program never changes the original presentation. Rather, it creates a new file that contains your new, smaller presentation.

The product can be integrated into PowerPoint, Windows Explorer and Outlook. Users can compress a presentation file and e-mail it to a colleague in a single operation. The program works with both PPT and PPS PowerPoint files, and lets you minimize several presentations in a single operation. These smaller presentation files take up less hard drive space, and their smaller size makes them easier to manage.

PPTminimizer runs under Windows 98/Me/NT4/2000/XP/2003 and costs US$29.95 for a single-user licence, with quantity and educational discounts available.
