DevHost releases help file generator
DevHost Ltd has released Fast-Help version 4.4, a Windows help file generator that produces help files in HtmlHelp (.CHM), WinHelp (.HLP), Website help, printable manuals, MS Word manuals, PDF formats and wxWidgets.

With the release, the product now features an international version, which includes all of the features of Fast-Help and an additional Translation Assistant, a tool that assists users in translating help files into multiple languages.

Fast-Help features a single source editor, allowing the user to enter help text and then compile to any of the above formats. The product is Unicode compatible, allowing the help text to be edited in multiple languages.

Available in five different languages, Fast-Help runs on all Windows platforms. Regular single licences are available for US$299. Fast-Help International single licences are available for US$399. Other licences are also available. An evaluation copy may be downloaded and ordered online at Fast-Help’s Web site.

Ergonis Software announces Macility Productivity Bundle
Ergonis Software announced the release of the Macility Productivity Bundle, a package containing some of Ergonis Software’s Macintosh products.

The bundle includes PopChar X, a tool for inserting special characters and fonts into text. Also included is KeyCue, a component that is designed to improve the visibility and usability of shortcut keys. Typinator, a tool that automates the entry of repetitive text and graphics is also part of the bundle.

The Macility Productivity Bundle is available for Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later. Universal support for Intel-based Macs is available now for KeyCue and will be available for PopChar X and Typinator in the next release. A free upgrade will be available for anyone who purchases the bundle now. The Productivity Bundle can be purchased securely on the Web site for US$44.99. Other licensing options are available through the site.

Iomega releases two StorCenter products for networks
Iomega Corp. announced the release of two new StorCenter network storage products: the Iomega StorCenter Wireless Network Storage 1TB and the Iomega StorCenter Network Hard Drive 500GB.

The StorCenter Wireless Network Storage 1TB features a Gigabit Ethernet connection and four 250GB hard drives that can be set up in a RAID 5 configuration (striping plus parity). Users also have the option of RAID 0 (striping) or RAID 1 (mirroring) for data protection.  Built-in wireless 802.11g networking is protected by WEP or WPA data encryption, allowing for secure username and password authorized access.

The smaller StorCenter Network Hard Drive features a Gigabit Ethernet interface and two 7200 RPM drives for a total native capacity of 500GB. It offers features such as RAID 0 (striping) or RAID 1 (mirroring) configurations.

Both StorCenter Network Hard Drives have two USB 2.0 ports and print server capability. They also offer multi-platform support, including Microsoft Windows 98/Me/2000/XP, Mac OS X 10.2.7 or higher and Linux distributions Redhat 9, Mandrake 10, Debian 3.0, Gentoo and FedoraCore 3.

The Iomega StorCenter Wireless Network Storage 1TB is available for US$899.95 and the Iomega StorCenter Network Hard Drive 500GB is available for US$499.95.

Echoworx launches secure E-mail for enterprises
Echoworx Corp. announced the release of PKI-based Secure Mail for Enterprises.

Secure Mail for Enterprises is offered by Service Providers on a subscription basis. This PKI encryption solution is based on industry standards (S/MIME, X.509) and allows Secure Mail users to send encrypted e-mail to anyone, whether or not they are also subscribers. As a fully managed solution, customers do not require any additional hardware or software and it will not interfere with the existing e-mail infrastructure or require any change to how e-mail users send or receive e-mail.
