Evernote has come out with a whole lot of new features for Windows.  This should hopefully make the app even more dear to you. From providing quicker reach  to  a smarter search to reminders to track important dates and events, this update has it all. Let’s magnify deeper and have a detailed look at the update.
1. Faster Access:
You can now drag and drop notes, notebooks, tags and searches into Shortcuts. That makes the organizing process much more easier than before. You also get specific buttons to help you access notes the way you want to. The new update also gives you the ability to expand notes or simply move them away to Shortcuts. Â Moreover, Evernote has gone ahead and added keyboard shortcuts which is bound to make your life quicker and easier.
Press Shift+Alt+N in order to jump to Notebooks.
Press Shift+Alt+T to go to Tags
Press Ctrl+Shift+H to highlight any selected text
Press Ctrl+1 to 0 in order to go through your first ten Shortcuts
2. Browsing and Notes:
The note list has now been integrated as one. All the notes – Personal, Joined and Business notes can be seen as one. You can now sort these notes by going to the menu on the top.
The Highlighter:
Have an important point which needs more attention than the rest of the text? Enter Highlighter – it makes the text stand out by highlighting it. Look at the image below:
You can also change the meta data in the notes by clicking the ‘i’ button in the Note editor.
3. Reminders:
If you have a lot on your plate or tend to forget important dates, then reminders in Evernote are made for you. You can now track important notes and update your colleagues about collaborative projects. The app also makes it possible for you to pin a note to the top of the note list. You can tick it off when it’s completed. When a note is due you will see an alarm pop up on your screen and an auto email will be sent to you. Here is what the alarm will look like:
4. Atlas:
Now you can associate Notes with places. You can now go through the Evernote memory lane about which Note was made at a particular place on the planet. Evernote checks for location and presents it beautifully on the map for you. It also has the Map view wherein you can click on a particular number on a particular place on the map and see what Notes were made there.
5. Better Search:
You can now type in the search bar and get auto suggested words just like the ones you see on Google. Evernote also provides search results from Joined, personal and Business Notebooks. Clicking on the searche field will also reveal recent and saved searches.
