Samsung will start shipping a seven-inch version of its Galaxy Tab 2 in early March. Featuring Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and with a price of $350 is aimed squarely at cutting into iPad sales.
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab debuted in the first quarter of 2011 and looked quite similar to Apple’s iPad. In fact, it was similar enough that Apple and Samsung are still in court battles over patent arguments, and Samsung had to create a different version of the tablet for release in Europe.
