Google may have spent $12.5 billion to acquire Motorola Mobility on Monday, but the end result might not make that much difference to end users of Motorola phones.
The phone maker had already been using Google’s Android OS for years to power its devices. Paul Nicholson, globla marketing at Motorola Mobility demos the Motorla Milestone in this December 2009 video. The touch-screen device had a 3.7-inch touch screen and a QWERTY slide-out keyboard. At the time, Motorola said it was the world’s slimmest slider device. It ran Android 2.0 at launch.
