Microsoft may be urging its more stubborn customers to migrate from Windows XP to Windows 7 with just 1,000 days of support left for the older operating system – but that doesn’t mean everyone is going to listen to them.
The attachment to Windows XP was sown when many IT administrators were unimpressed with Windows Vista. Though Windows 7 has met a decidedly better critical reception and more businesses are migrating to the newer OS, there’s still a large contingent of those with deap-seated convictions that Windows XP still gets the job done.
