YL Computing releases WinUtilities 5.2
YL Computing Inc.has announced the immediate availability of WinUtilities 5.2, a tool for optimization and speed-up of computer performance.

Version 5.2 adds the following features and enhancements.

  • Vista-ready – This release has been designed and tested for full compatibility with Microsoft’s Windows Vista
  • Enhanced Registry Search – WinUtilities Registry search allows users to remove and export multi-entries from search results
  • Enhanced Cleaning – Disk Cleaner in version 5.2 finds unnecessary file types
  • Scheduler Improvements – WinUtilities Task Scheduler enables users to schedule the cleaning and optimization tasks.

The program erases junk files clogging disk drives, fix invalid entries and references in Windows Registry, and erase usage tracks, such as cookies and Internet history. The program can wipe away usage data, related to other third-party applications.

All the operations can be started manually on demand, or scheduled to start automatically using the predefined settings in Task Scheduler. Users will also discover optimization tools that will let them trace and erase duplicate files eating up disk space, scan the system to find invalid shortcuts, optimize the memory management of Windows. WinUtilities will remove BHO, manage program execution at Windows startup, schedule a computer to shut down at a specified time even when it’s left unattended, back up Windows Registry for security purposes and search Registry by specific wildcards.

WinUtilities 5.2 is available immediately from YL Computing’s site. The product runs under Windows Vista/ XP/ 2003 / 2000/ 98 and costs US$39.99 for a single-user licence. EasyFrom releases ESF Database Convert 5.6
EasyFrom Inc. announces the release of version 5.6 of ESF Database Convert, a tool for conversion of various database formats. Its interface will guide users through conversion in three steps.

First, select the source database, then specify the tables along with the fields and finally, convert them into the selected output format. ESF Database Convert supports SQL statement. This allows filtering data but users may include all data as well.

Advanced converting mechanisms of the tool provide conversion directly from any to any of the following database types: MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, InterBase, Access, Excel, Paradox, Lotus, dBase, Text and others. You can also convert any type of a database with DNS.

ESF Database Convert includes the support of table Primary Keys, Indexes and Auto-ID. It also maps table and field names in converting. The tool comes with the batch conversion mode that can enhance productivity by speeding up the conversion process.

ESF Database Convert runs under all 32-bit versions of Microsoft Windows and costs US$129 for a single-user licence. Licensed customers are entitled to the fully-functional version of the product, free technical support and free upgrades. C2C enhances PST management and pre-defined archiving templates

C2C announced its Archive One solution, which helps organizations comply with industry regulations and minimize mailbox size, now fully supports Exchange 2007 and Windows Vista.

A feature of this release is the Personal Storage files (PSTs) management offered by C2C, empowering administrators to control and contain existing PSTs, and to plan and schedule their removal.

Another addition to Archive One lauded by customers is the pre-set archive templates.
