Jen Vasin, SVP of human resources for North America, recognized for key role promoting Insight’s values and position as an employer of choice
TEMPE, Ariz., March 6, 2020 —Insight Enterprises (NASDAQ:NSIT), the global integrator of Insight Intelligent Technology Solutions™ for organizations of all sizes, today announced Jen Vasin, senior vice president of human resources, North America, was recognized as a Great Place to Work® For All™ Leadership Award recipient at the 3rd annual Great Place to Work Leadership Awards Gala Dinner held Tuesday at the Four Seasons San Francisco.
A For All Leader is honored for consistently playing a critical role in driving workplace culture by practicing humility and empathy, for dedication and commitment to the development of their team, for connecting diverse people to a common purpose, for adapting to uncertainty, and for fostering trusting relationships within and beyond their teams.
The recipients were selected from companies that appear on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For annual lists. Insight ranked No. 70 on the 2020 Fortune 100 Best Workplaces for Diversity and No. 23 on the 2019 Fortune Best Workplaces in Technology lists.
Vasin was nominated by Ken Lamneck, Insight president and CEO, for playing a critical role in helping Insight’s 9,100+ North American teammates embody the company values of hunger, heart, and harmony. Vasin’s primary objectives center on establishing Insight as an employer of choice to attract and retain talent, developing current and future leaders, building programs around Insight’s core values, and streamlining company HR procedures.
“Jen has played an integral role in establishing the Insight way of putting people first as we fulfill our purpose of building meaningful connections to help businesses run smarter,” said Lamneck. “Under her leadership, we’ve seen teammate retention rates consistently improve as she’s enhanced our HR policies, established programs promoting diversity and teamwork that cultivate a culture of caring – for our clients, our communities and each other – and developed executive leadership training, professional development and personal wellbeing classes across the organization. Insight is an exciting place to work, and Jen has helped turn it into a best place to work as well.”
Since assuming the top HR role for North America in 2012, Vasin has helped establish Insight’s Noble Cause program, which now raises $300,000 annually to support children’s charities through technology initiatives, and the In It Together Foundation, Insight’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit program providing financial support to teammates in crisis situations. Through teammate contributions and matching company donations, In It Together has raised $1.15 million since its inception in 2014, including $457,000 in 2019 alone that helped 152 teammates in crisis.
Insight’s Teammate Pulse Survey score rose to 43 in 2019, up 21 points from 2015. The company’s Trust Score of 85 measures the percentage of employees who call Insight a great place to work, according to a Great Place To Work survey of more than 1,800 Arizona-based Insight teammates. Great Place to Work states a typical U.S.-based company scores 59.
Vasin is one of 60 leaders recognized by Great Place to Work for their contributions to their companies.
In recognizing the honorees, Great Place to Work CEO Michael C. Bush said, “We are honored to celebrate your shining examples of For All Leaders — the individuals who are adept at cultivating genuine human connections, solving multi-dimensional problems, and enabling every employee to bring their unique selves to work.”
